Campus tourWhile many students find a home at the first university they attend, this is certainly not the path that everyone takes to obtain their degree. College students may choose to transfer to another institution for a myriad of reasons, and whether those reasons are related to academics, finances or family obligations, it is important to ensure that their next school is a good fit.

At the University of Colorado Boulder, we want to help make your decision to transfer as simple as possible. We believe that the best way to make that happen is to have you join us on campus for one of our on-campus visit programs. The Office of Admissions offers a variety of spring visit programs that are specifically designed to help prospective transfer students learn more about the transfer application process and about life as a transfer student at CU Boulder. Read on for a few benefits of coming to visit us in person!

1. Receive a transfer credit evaluation. All students who register in advance for one of our Transfer Student Information Sessions and submit unofficial transcripts in ahead of time of can receive a transfer credit evaluation! Send your transcripts to at least 72 hours prior to your information session, and be sure to include the date of your information session in your email.

2. Learn about CU Boulder. Each session includes a 40-minute presentation covering a broad overview of the University along with detailed information on the admission criteria, application process, tuition, fees and financial aid as well as insights into the transfer credit process. You'll learn about our vibrant history and our plans for the future as well as all the opportuntities available on campus to our transfer students right now.

3. Get to know our campus. Following the information session, you will have the opportunity to partake in a 75-minute walking tour of our beautiful campus, led by a current CU Boulder student! You'll see the stadium that is home to one of the most iconic mascots of college sports, visit our beautiful library and take in unparalleled natural beauty.

The Transfer Information Session is perfect if you are just starting to consider which university you might attend, or even if you are sure CU Boulder is the place for you. These information sessions will be offered twice a month, one Friday and one Saturday, and each session will be about two hours long. Friday sessions will be offered January 25, February 22, March 22, April 12, May 24 and June 21. Saturday sessions will be offered February 9, March 9, and May 11, June 8 and July 27.

If you are unable to attend one of our transfer-specific information sessions, prospective students still have plenty of opportunities to come visit us on campus! We offer our general Information Session and Campus Tour every weekday at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. as well as select Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. While these sessions are not transfer-specific, they are still an excellent option for students hoping to learn a bit more about our university while getting a student led tour of our amazing campus.
