1. CU Boulder’s Regular Decision (RD) deadline is January 15.Admission Advising
We are looking for your Common Application including 1 Common App Essay, your CU Boulder Writing Supplement (don’t miss that separate “submit” button), 9th-12th grade transcripts, and a letter of recommendation to be submitted by January 15. Once you’ve submitted your Common Application, you’ll get access to your application status page to check the status of your documents to make sure you’ve requested them and they arrive on time! If you want to be considered for one of our automatic-consideration and merit-based scholarships, you must also submit an SAT or ACT score and it must arrive before the application deadline on January 15. As long as you have sent one of these tests prior to January 15, you will be considered for the scholarships. You will have until May 1 to submit any additional scores you might receive from re-taking an exam.

2. How do I submit my transcripts?
We will not accept any transcripts emailed by you, the student, as official. We will accept transcripts emailed to intladm@colorado.edu by your high school counselor (or other school administrator responsible for your academic records) from their official school email address. Again, these must be submitted prior to January 15th. If you have any questions about getting your official transcript(s) sent to CU, please contact your Admission Counselor!

3. When will I receive my decision if my complete application is submitted by January 15?
You will receive your admission decision by Monday, April 1 as long as all of your materials are received by the Office of Admissions by January 15.

4. Do I need to submit TOEFL or IELTS test scores for my application to be considered “complete”?
We require TOEFL or IELTS scores as proof of English proficiency from international students, unless you’ve spent 2 or more years at a U.S. high school. We do not need to receive your proof of English proficiency until after you have received your admission decision.

5. Who do I talk to if I have questions that I can’t find the answers to online?
Every state in the U.S. and every region of the world has an Admission Counselor who works closely with students throughout every piece of this process. Whether you have questions about the application process, life in Boulder, academic opportunities, or next steps after the application process, we hope you feel comfortable and confident to contact your Admission Counselor here at CU Boulder.

6. How is housing assigned?
As this will likely be one of your first questions after submitting your application, become familiar with our Housing & Dining Services living options here: colorado.edu/housing/living-options. There are so many great places on our campus to call home, to live and learn and to make new friends! The application will open in early spring and you will only gain access to it after confirming your intent to enroll.

Get excited! Once your application is submitted, the wait begins. I know the anticipation of your admission decision can be stressful, but this is a great time to take a moment and be proud of what you have accomplished. It's also important to take a breath and finish out your school year on a strong note. We're here for you every step of the way.
