Coffee

By Joy Barber

I have a major confession to make Future Buffs!
Like many college students, I am obsessed with coffee.

There is no better feeling than holding a steaming cup of espresso when I am waking up bright and early each morning or studying late for an exam. While Starbucks is a popular hot spot on campus, here are a few of my favorite
on-campus coffee shops.

1. The Laughing Goat
Located inside Norlin Library, The Laughing Goat is the perfect spot to grab a cup of coffee while studying for an exam or meeting with fellow students to work on a group project. You’ll find a wide variety of beverages and snacks to brighten your day. One of my favorite drinks to indulge in is the tea latte. I know that I can always stop by The Laughing Goat when I am rushing to class.

2. Pekoe Sip House
This cheerful coffee shop is located inside of the Roser ATLAS Center. As soon as you walk through the door, it is hard not to recognize the friendly atmosphere. Boba Teas, Smoothies and Espresso are popular drinks to enjoy here. One drink that is sure to brighten my day is the White Chocolate Mocha. The rich espresso always satisfies my sweet tooth. You will not be disappointed!

3. The Bakery
I am a huge fan of The Bakery located inside the Center for Community. This coffee shop also serves delicious freshly baked goods every day. Unlike the other coffee shops, The Bakery is only open until 3pm, so it is important to visit early. My favorite items to indulge in are their gingerbread cookies and their cappuccinos. The Bakery is a delightful spot to grab a sweet treat and hang out with friends.

Going to be on campus all day? You have plenty of options to satisfy your caffeine craving just steps from your lecture! I hope that these suggestions help guide your quest for the perfect cup of coffee.
