CU Boulder Greek Week dance eventAs you read this, sorority and fraternity members are likely practicing their dance steps, flips, and tricks, gearing up for the ultimate dance battle, the end of Greek Week, happening this year in the Coors Event Center on April 14th, 2016. Each year, Greek Week unites all of the Greek community together, supporting various causes and charities with fun competition among the different houses. Songfest is normally the very last event of the week, a themed dance competition between 9 teams. Some participants would say it’s the most fun event in all of Greek Week (I definitely would, but as a dancer I’m biased).

Songfest (which should really be called Dancefest, just saying) is a high-energy charity event, performed for the public. Last year’s theme was Superheroes, and teams embodied characters from The Incredible Hulk to The Fantastic Four. Each dance is made up of many smaller and larger dances, with hundreds of dancers participating. Come and watch this year’s theme come alive before your eyes. It’s something you have to see to experience!!

The Coors Event Center is the place to be on April 14th at 7pm. Your entry is free with a canned good! It’s exciting, you can cheer on your Greek friends, and it’s for charity! Get there early for great seats!
