Project Description
SBOLCanvas is a web-based application that can create and edit genetic constructs using the SBOL data and visual standards. SBOLCanvas allows a user to create a genetic design visually and structurally from start to finish. It also allows users to incorporate existing SBOL data from a SynBioHub repository. By the nature of being a web-based application, SBOLCanvas is readily accessible and easy to use. Click here for a live version of the latest release.
In this project, you would continue to expand the capabilities of SBOLCanvas to support modeling and analysis of genetic circuits. This would include both expanding the types of entities that can be added to a design to support modeling constructs like events and rules, as well as new means to visualize the results of computational simulation. Finally, this project would include further improvements to the tool to enhance the user experience.
Special Requirement
Experience with Java and Javascript is essential. Experience developing web applications is useful. Knowledge of github, docker, and other development tools is helpful.
