The Department of Political Science offers instruction and trains graduate students to conduct original research in six areas of political science: American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Theory, Public Policy and Empirical Theory and Methodology.

Please note, the Political Science department does not offer admission to an MA program. However, students who are admitted to and enroll in the PhD program can earn an MA in the course of their work.
