The Office of Faculty Affairs coordinates a variety of activities associated with faculty life and academic programming on the Boulder campus. The Office is a branch of Academic Affairs and is administered by the Vice Provost and Associate Vice Chancellor for Faculty Affairs.
The major functions of the Office of Vice Provost and Faculty Affairs include: recruitment, hiring, and appointments; reappointment, tenure, and promotion; post-tenure review; leaves, sabbaticals, and retirement; Academic Review And Planning Advisory Committee (ARPAC); Salary Equity Appeals Committee; faculty relations; processing faculty personnel actions requiring approval by the Board of Regents, President or Chancellor; Faculty Report Of Professional Activities (FRPA); junior faculty mentoring and programming; faculty teaching excellence program; Leadership Education For Advancement And Promotion (LEAP); and faculty benefits and services.
