Get Started: Web Sites for Student Groups

Web space is available for authorized student groups on www.colorado.edu. To get started, follow these steps:

Step 1: Get Web Space

Student groups must be registered with the Student Organizations Finance Office (SOFO). Greek organizations must be registered with Greek Affairs. Once your group has been authorized, you will need to request a directory:

Step 2: Create Your Site

The Group Home Pages guide also includes information on how to accesss your web site. The following ITS guide is for developing personal web sites but much of the information will be helpful if you are new to web publishing:

Step 3: Know the Policies

Web Central lists policies, standards, and key issues web publishers need to be aware of.

Step 4: Get Your Site Listed

To have your student group site included in listings of student group or Greek sites, e-mail your request to Web Communications. Include the name of your site and the URL, and your role with the group.
