Updates:
1. E-mail organization
-Went over folders and “sub folders” on the left side of our e-mail.
- Dana uses “cognizant” smoothly in a real sentence.
2. Make sure it’s on your calendar: October 21, 5:30-8pm is the Etiquette dinner. We will need people to help with set-up.
3. Chancellor’s Donor Dinner Oct. 16, evening: We, as a board will be volunteering this night. Mark this on your calendar.
Business:
1. Planning CU GOLD Events
Oct. 15 CU GOLD “Sample"
-Potential Speakers: Julie Wong, Deb Coffin, Dan Hawkins, Ceal Berry
-Topics: Leadership on campus, integration into life. 30-40 minutes.
-Workshops: Fish (Meagan, Alexi) - Time Management (Alyssa, Scott) - Everyday Genius (Meagan, Pat, Stacey)
Public Speaking (Jacqueline, Mo, Chris Bell??)
-Aspen rooms, 247- Pat’s responsibility
2. ~75 people, making for about twenty per break out group. Leadership survival kit?
3. Brainstorm ideas for a bigger event

Updates:
- Scott’s Birthday!!! Well done Scott. And good job with the planner big guy.
- Pick dates for Fun Nights (Ice skating and Hiking!) Night of 27th of September for the Night Hike- Ice Skating to be determined with addition of arena schedule
- Custodial Thank You week next week- muffins, and a card!
Business:
- Advanced Section of CLP- 12 weeks long, 20 students.
- Curriculum: Hands on, community inclusive. Semester Long project. Enact lessons from regular CLP. Organize a CUGold workshop. Intensive, focus on group unity/bonding…ropes course? Teamwork accomplishes goals. Community service- issue education
- Facilitators?- Jane Elvins? Off Campus Facilitators? Julie Wong, VP of Student Affairs, Sports Leadership (Dan Hawkins?), Gender/Ethics issues, Student Leaders
- Retreat: Staggered
- CLP Sections – There will be two!

- Fun day ideas, and dates:
Ice Skating $1 rentals/ Bowling/ Hike and Lunch/Movie Night (Dana’s Wall)
2. Community service date:
Boulder Homeless Shelter Trick or Treat for Canned Goods on October 18th
Business:
1. Event Planning Review:
· Broke up into Groups- present different aspects of organizing an event.
· Miscellaneous information includes “official function forms, give-aways, decorations.”
· Marketing “reserve a space at the scheduling office/chalking/display case/ tabling/ We prefer the ink spot/ Electonric calendar/ Buff Bulletin/
· Scheduling/Catering/Guest Speaker- at least three weeks in advance for the speaker, catering a week in advance, and make sure the thank you is present. Make sure you mark down the fact that it is ZERO WASTE
2. E-memo for CLP to expect many apps. Be sure to initial, date, and number incoming applications.
