CU GOLD is run by a volunteer base of students who sit on the CU GOLD Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is instrumental in implementing and planning the workshop series and providing direction for all aspects of the CU GOLD Program. Feel free to stop by our office to meet the board! |

Katie Bolger:
Workshop Director
Major: Psychology/Elementary Education
Goals: I went to study abroad in Spain to learn about the Spanish people and culture. I want to join the Peace Corps,and make a difference through teaching as a kindergarten teacher.
Hobbies: Volleyball, soccer, reading, learning Spanish

Dana Ziemba:
Co-Student Coordinator
Major: Geography and an elementary education license
Goals: I am working toward my elementary teaching license, and I hope to teach 5th of 6th grade in a small town near the mountains. After graduation I hope to be able to travel before I go out into the real world.
Hobbies: I love the outdoors. For the past 5 summers I have worked at a YMCA resident camp in Southern Colorado, as well as a privately owned camp in California. I also like to go hiking, rafting, canoeing and backpacking. Last summer I did a 20 mile loop on the Pacific Coast Trail and Tahoe Rim Trail in California.
Leadership role model: I consider my parents great role models. |

Major: Business
Goals: I hope to figure out my emphasis for my degree, receive my certificate for international business, become more involved in the community, and continue traveling and learning about the world.
Hobbies: Snowboarding, tennis, traveling, reading, volunteering, music, games
Leadership role model: Mallory and Taylor, Nancy Vanacore, my parents, Megan Bell, Alyssa Willet.

Community Development
Major: Business Marketing and Pre-Journalism
Goals: A leadership role in the fraternity (Sigma Phi Epsilon) and an advertising role with the Colorado Avalanche.
Hobbies: Hockey, Hiking, Soccer, Snowboarding.

Megan Bell (Howe):
CU GOLD Advisor
Major: English and Women’s Studies , received MA in Educational Administration, 2000 (University of Northern Colorado), 2002 (Washington State University)
Goals: Professor in Educational Administration
Hobbies: Reading, traveling, dancing, going out to eat, soccer, and volleyball
Leadership role models: Ghandi, Oprah, Gloria Steinem, Hillary Clinton, Dr. Martin Luther King J, Barack and Michelle Obama.. |

Goals: Medical School

Major: Biochemistry, MCDB, and Advertising
Goals: Med School/Graduate School, start a non-profit organization, write a book, back pack through Europe, teach, United Nations, get married
Hobbies: Playing Volleyball, books, reading news, debating, music, hiking/taking long walks, gadgets, creative outlets (making stuff.. art, music, ads, etc), swimming,
Leadership role model: My mom, Donald Trump, Caesar Chavez, Hillary Clinton, Steve Jobs, and Bill Cosby.

Major: Sports Journalism and Communication.
Goals: In the future I hope to travel the world and someday work for the Olympic Committee.

Major: Political Science
Goals: This year I am working to gain my real estate brokers license and am interning with Remax. I plan to work and live in the Denver Metro area after graduation.
Hobbies: Skiing, golf, cooking, hiking, political activism

Goals: To have a family, and most importantly spend lots of time with little kids because they rock!
Hobbies: I love to read and watch movies, I don't really have any cool hobbies though.

Alyssa Willet:
Co-Student Coordinator
Major: Women and Gender Studies, Leadership Certificate with INVST Community Studies
Goals: I hope to go on to get a teaching certificate and apply for a masters program in media studies. I hope to travel and learn about the world through lived experience while continuing to work on my development as a leader and my development as an advocate for social change on a global level.
Hobbies: Hiking, backpacking, skiing, volunteering, learning new things, being spontaneous and spending time with my roommates.
Leadership role model: My mom, bell hooks.

Anastasia Roloff:
Co-Marketing Director
Major: Economics and Mathematics
Goals: I wish I knew them. I most probably will go to graduate school for a masters or Ph.d in economics or another related program like finance. For the time being, I just want to enjoy it.
Hobbies: I'm a member of Delta Delta Delta and the CU GOLD Advisory Board, of course! I love to read, and do anything with my friends from bowling to billiards to just chilling.
Leadership role model: Fernando Henrique Cardoso. He was the president of Brazil in the nineties and created a currency that improved the super-inflation that afflicted the country. His passion for democracy and his beliefs are inspiring. |
