As part of the UMC, we make the student union and campus environment a vibrant, engaging and safe community through programming and learning opportunities. Our staff cultivates personal growth by advising, supervising, challenging and supporting students from the CU Boulder campus. We do this by creating high quality experiences through leadership, employment, community building, diversity activities, and entertainment.

Top 10 Ways to Get Involved at CU:
1. Come to UMC Welcome Fest
Kickoff the first weekend of the school year with thousands of fellow students at the UMC! Free food, games, and live music!
2. Make a date with CU Late Night
Free events such as Battle of the Bands, Poetry Slam and Friday Night Films are a great place to meet new people and have fun!
3. Be part of stimulating multicultural events
Apply for a seat on the Cultural Events Board, which sponsors cultural nights, concerts, and speakers like Macklemore and Lt. Dan Choi!
4. Bring famous speakers to campus
Apply for a seat on the Distinguished Speakers Board and help bring high-caliber speakers to campus like Salman Rushdie, Michio Kaku, and John Legend!
5. Discover your passion!
Come to the Student Involvement Fair to meet a variety of student groups you can join! There are over 350 student groups on campus!
6. Free food and fun!
Check out fun and free events such as Ralphie's Cooking Basics, International Coffee Hour, and I Love Mondays in the UMC!

Take advantage of the free CU GOLD leadership workshops throughout the year, such as Networking, Event Planning 101, Time Management, Stress Management, Public Speaking, and more!
