Student Programs Office

As the programming branch of the UMC, we make the student union a fun and dynamic place to be. We serve all students by providing programs that promote leadership, culture, diversity and entertainment. We cultivate student growth opportunities by advising and challenging students, while serving as a resource and support to student organizations. We are a student-driven office that empowers students to be a creative force and affect positive change.

CU GOLD
Our mission is to be a credible resource for current and emerging leaders on the CU-Boulder campus. We will foster a culture of accountability, leadership, and responsibility by inspiring diverse students to develop and enhance their leadership abilities.

CU Late Night
A variety of late-night activities sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs.

SoundBite
The Student Programs Office sponsors a variety of live performances and events in the UMC during the day.

Dennis Small Cultural Center
The Dennis Small Cultural Center is located in the University Memorial Center room 457, and is dedicated to on-campus ethnic and minority communities. The center is named after Dennis Small, a unique individual that was the University's original Ombudsman and champion of diversity on campus.

Midnight Breakfast
Shake off those finals week blues with a free breakfast in the UMC. Breakfast is served at 11:59 p.m. every Fall and Spring semester on the Monday of finals week. A variety of entertainment is provided including live music, chair massages, and free pool and bowling in the Connection.

Program Council
Whether it is hosting a Dave Matthews concert at Folsom Field, a more intimate show at Club 156, or a movie at CHEM 140, Program Council has been responsible for providing live entertainment for CU students for over 50 years. UMC 409, 303-492-7704

Cultural Events Board
The UCSU Cultural Events Board (CEB) cost center is dedicated to furthering greater cultural understanding at CU Boulder. CEB invites influential figures like Spike Lee, Margaret Cho, and Charleton Heston to speak on campus. It also supplies funding for numerous student group activities. Distinguished Speakers Board
The Distinguished Speakers Board is a UCSU Cost Center. It enlightens, inspires, and educates the student body by bringing high-caliber speakers to campus. UMC 327, 303-735-6653

Senior Class Council
The Senior Class Council seeks to enhance and improve the overall experience of the CU senior class through a variety of social, service, and educational opportunities. The purpose of the organization is to inform, involve, and unify the senior class. Senior Class Council works to leave a valuable mark on campus with an annual senior gift.

 

Student Organization Fair

The Student Organization Fair is the perfect way to find out about all the different student organizations on campus.  Once you find your fit... it is a snap to get involved!

 

UMC Time Out

Take a break during your week to simply relax, hang out, loosen up, lounge a bit and enjoy some free entertainment  with delicious food specials! Wednesday nights, 1st floor of your UMC in the dining rooms. Click on link for the list of each month's events and specials.

UMC Welcome Fest
If you're a new CU student, then come check out the biggest and freest party in Boulder the weekend before classes start. At the welcome party, you can get into everything from video games, poker, and bowling to karaoke, live bands, giveaways, prizes, and food.
