The Top Scholarship Office works to coordinate and assist students interested in applying for nationally competitive scholarships, fellowships and awards. These opportunities represent some of the most prestigious awards earned by talented undergraduate and graduate students. Because students at colleges and universities across the country apply for these awards, the competition is quite strong, however with good preparation and planning CU students can be successful in these competitions. The Top Scholarship Office provides several services to students engaging in the application process. Please browse our site to find out more!

Remember -- start exploring your options for these opportunities early. It takes time to research which opportunities will match your goals and aspirations and to plan your academic career and extracurricular activities to ensure you are well-qualified for these awards. The application process can also take up to a year, so you must be aware of specific timelines and deadlines. What are you waiting for?

Start -- by exploring the fellowships listed and by talking to your professors about your ambitions. They may suggest opportunities not listed here.

Take advantage -- of the extensive resources on campus designed to help you make the most of your time here.

Visit -- the Top Scholarship Office and talk to the advisor about yourself and your goals.

Look -- for announcements and informational meetings throughout the year.

Cultivate -- a positive attitude. While the chances of winning a top scholarship seem slim, they are real. Don’t discount your personal achievements. Make the most of the opportunities available to you.

Take Charge -- of your education! Don’t wait for an invitation to apply.

Know-- that there are many more awards for study and research than are listed on this site. Actively explore and pursue as many opportunities as is realistic.
