Coburn & Morris To Compete At 106th Millrose Games Feb. 16

CU-Boulder seniors Emma Coburn and Joe Morris have been invited to compete on Saturday, Feb. 16, at the 106th Millrose Games, one of the most prestigious indoor track and field meets in the world.

The Millrose Games will take place at The Armory in New York City and features some of the world’s top talent. Coburn is entered in the women’s New York Road Runners’ Wanamaker Mile while Morris will race in the 60-meter dash.

CU-Boulder joins the prestigious Pac-12 Conference

CU-Boulder accepted an invitation on June 11, 2010, to join the Pacific-10 Conference as its 11th member, the first new member since 1978; a week later Utah was added and the league will become the Pacific-12 in the coming year. In addition to shared academic excellence, CU-Boulder and the other Pac-10 member institutions hold impressive athletic résumés.

Buff alumna finishes fifth in Boston Marathon seven months after giving birth

One of the most acclaimed and celebrated female athletes in the Buff’s prestigious athletic history, runner Kara (Wheeler) Goucher (BS ‘01) continues to distinguish herself in the sport she loves.

Just seven months after giving birth last September, Goucher ran a personal best for fifth place in the Boston Marathon in April 2011. She finished the 26.2-mile race in 2 hours, 24 minutes, 52 seconds, a little more than two minutes behind the winning time.
