Volunteer for Fall Welcome

The main objective of Fall Welcome is to ensure the transition to CU Boulder is an engaging, healthy and positive experience for everyone. To achieve this goal, enthusiastic volunteers who are committed to welcoming students in an inclusive and positive way are needed.

“I look forward to seeing our campus come together to welcome our incoming students and families,” said Christina Gonzales, vice chancellor of Student Affairs. “Our volunteers are important because they create a positive and memorable Fall Welcome experience and support our students as they transition to life at CU Boulder academically and socially.”

All experiences during Fall Welcome benefit students and families—Fall Welcome provides information on campus resources and ways to get involved, helps build culture and a love for the university, provides awareness of expectations and responsibilities and ultimately creates a comfortable and welcoming environment to kick off the academic year.

Last year, 1,405 staff, faculty and students volunteered to ensure the success of Fall Welcome. This year, volunteers can help students move in to their new campus home or assist students and families in navigating around campus. There are also opportunities to volunteer at a few signature Fall Welcome events, such as Convocation, CU Kickoff, and The Black and Gold Bash.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to join the tradition of welcoming students and families to CU Boulder by signing up to volunteer during Fall Welcome. Additionally, departments and offices can volunteer together; to register a group, please contact Hannah Wilks at 303-735-4600 or email hannah.wilks@colorado.edu.
