Earlier today, you received a “safety alert” message about a sex assault in the Norlin Library. Within minutes of that email being sent, CU staff members recognized the suspect and called in tips to the CU Boulder Police Department.
Shortly after 5 p.m. today, CUPD arrested suspect Lamin Njie on suspicion of sexual assault, unlawful sexual contact and indecent exposure. These charges stem from the incident in the Norlin Library earlier in the day.
Thanks to these tips from the CU community, Njie is now under arrest.
