Center for Student Involvement Q & A:

What is the Center for Student Involvement? The Center for Student Involvement (CSI) is a service department of the University of Colorado Boulder Student Government (CUSG) within the Division of Student Affairs. We cultivate an environment for building vibrant, engaging and safe communities through programming, leadership development, cultural awareness and learning opportunities. We also serve as banker, bookkeeper, travel agent, purchasing department and event manager for student organizations. Student organizations using university facilities must maintain an account and conduct their business through our office. Funding for student organizations granted from university sources is also placed in appropriate accounts through us.

What does CSI do? Our vision is to connect all CU Boulder students with experiences that promote student success, personal growth and a vibrant campus community.

How can I take advantage of the services offered by CSI? You can take advantage of the services offered by CSI in a variety of ways. You can attend one of the many events we put on every week throughout the semester, come into our office to find out about the many ways you can be involved on campus, learn about the more than 400 student organizations on campus or start your own organization. Our office is in UMC 330. You can visit us in person or chat with a staff member online through our Website Colorado.edu/involvement.

Who can use the CSI space in the UMC, and how do I or my student group best utilize it? Any student can use our space in the UMC. Students and student organizations can come by and use our collaboration lounge space to meet as a group or to hang out. The resource center (open until 9 p.m. on week nights) is another great space that student organizations can use to print posters, get supplies for their organization and learn more about how they can be a more effective student organization.
