Qais Akbar Omar, author of A Night in the Emperor's Garden, will speak on his experiences staging Love’s Labour's Lost in Kabul in 2005. This was the first production with women in the cast of the Bard in Afghanistan in 30 years. A small reception at 5 p.m. will be followed by Mr. Omar’s lecture at 5:30 p.m. and finish with a book signing. This event takes place Monday, Aug. 29, in the University Theatre, and is free and open to the public. Advance registration is encouraged.
