Tickets to hear the Dalai Lama speak this summer at the University of Colorado Boulder’s Coors Events Center will go on sale at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 28.

Faculty/staff with a valid Buff OneCard can purchase up to two tickets for $25 apiece at www.cubuffs.com/dalailama. The second ticketholder need not be a faculty/staff member. Anyone obtaining tickets is encouraged to set up a ticket account prior to the on-sale time by selecting “My Account” on the Athletics ticketing website.

The Dalai Lama’s June 23 visit is being co-sponsored by the CU-Boulder Student Government (CUSG), the CU-Boulder Cultural Events Center (CEB) and the Tibetan Association of Colorado (TAC).

The Nobel Peace Prize-winning Tibetan Buddhist will speak to the CU-Boulder community starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Coors Events Center at 950 Regent Drive. His afternoon talk is titled “Educating the Heart and Mind.” The event is being funded by ticket sales and student fees. For more event and ticketing information, visit www.colorado.edu/dalailama.

TAC will also host a morning teaching session by the Dalai Lama starting at 9:30 a.m. titled “Eight Verses of Training the Mind” rooted in the promotion of compassion, wisdom, tolerance, self-discipline and religious harmony to achieve lasting happiness.
