A healthy lifestyle is a way of life in Boulder and many of us work hard, play hard and regularly work out and eat right. As part of the Be Colorado SUCCEED Health Assessment, my fellow campus leaders and I have agreed to a friendly competition to see which campus can achieve the highest participation rate among employees. The payout of that wager does not go to the chancellors, however, but goes to the participating employees.
If you complete the confidential health assessment by April 1, 2013 – the deadline for the campus competition – you’ll be automatically entered into a drawing to win one of 12, $300 airfare vouchers. Besides a chance to win a $300 airfare voucher and learn more about your health, the assessment is a requirement of the new Be Colorado Move campaign, where you can earn $25 a month to meet baseline movement goals.
Despite our commitment to a healthy lifestyle, so far only 6% of the employees at the Boulder campus have signed up for the Be Colorado SUCCEED Health Assessment that has been offered to employees system-wide. We are at the lowest level of participation among all of the campuses. Last year we came in last place with only 14.67% participation.
