Todd Gleeson, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado at Boulder and chair of the search committee for provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs, announced today that Robert J. Sternberg has withdrawn as a candidate for the position at CU-Boulder in order to pursue a pending offer at another university.

"The search committee regrets it is unable to recommend any candidates at this time," said Gleeson. "The search for provost and executive vice chancellor is suspended for the remainder of this academic year. CU-Boulder Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano will consult with key constituents, consider how best to proceed with the provost position, and announce his decision within the next few weeks."
