The University of Colorado Real Estate Council’s 2008 conference – “Denver - In a League of Its Own” – will be held Thursday, March 6, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center.

Co-presented by the CU-Boulder Leeds School of Business, CU Real Estate Council and CoBiz Financial, the conference will offer commentary by national and local experts on the national and local outlook for real estate and capital markets.

Hessam Nadji, director of research services for the nation’s largest real estate investment services fund, Marcus & Millichap, will discuss the national and Denver economic and commercial real estate outlook for 2008 at 9 a.m.

Steve Ellis, chairman and CEO of Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc., will give the keynote address during the conference luncheon. He will discuss how Chipotle is incorporating sustainable practices across its business, from the food it serves to the way it designs and builds restaurants.

Afternoon sessions will include presentations about sustainable development and an analysis of Denver’s key real estate projects, initiatives and characteristics that distinguish it from other metropolitan areas.

The cost is $100 for CU Real Estate Council members and $175 for nonmembers. The conference will offer seven hours of continuing education credit to all-day attendees for a $45 fee.
