Lehman Brothers Inc. and the finance division of the College of Business and Administration at the University of Colorado at Boulder will co-sponsor an investment banking forum from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21.

David H. Jeffries, the managing director of the investment banking division of Lehman Brothers, will give the keynote address on the changing world of investment banking. That address will be followed by a panel of senior investment banking professionals from Salomon Brothers, Goldman, Sachs & Co., Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, NationsBanc Montgomery Securities, Hanifen Ihmoff and the Wallach Co.

Four break-out sessions will allow participants to meet in smaller groups to discuss the following: financial analyst positions, mergers and acquisitions, sales and trading and retail brokerage. Participants will be able to attend two of those sessions.

"Both graduate and undergraduate business students, as well as other CU students, will have the opportunity to learn about career options and opportunities within the various firms," said Ron Melicher, chair of the college's finance and economics division.

"It's great for the students and great for us," said finance Professor Chris Leach, who team-teaches a Lehman Brothers-sponsored investment banking class with Melicher at CU. "There are so many trends impacting the business, and I'm looking forward to hearing how professionals are reacting to and preparing for those changes."

The 1 p.m. keynote address will be in the Fleming Law Building, room 155. The break-out sessions and closing reception will be held in the College of Business.
