Loh recently resigned his position to become Director of Policy for Washington State Gov. Gary Locke.
The committee, chaired by Arts and Sciences Dean Peter Spear, will begin with an internal search. If a qualified internal individual is not identified, the committee will launch a national search.
Members of the committee include:

Chris Armijo, student administrator for the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
Harold Bruff, dean of the School of Law
James Curry, professor of applied mathematics

Patricia Limerick, professor of history
David Prescott, professor of molecular, cellular and developmental biology
Steven Taniguchi, chair of the Alumni Association Board of Directors
Judith Glyde, associate professor of music

The search committee will be staffed by Mary Jo White and Jane Branigan of the Chancellors Office. Shari Robertson, director of Human Resources, will serve as ex-officio member.
