CU Joins Coalition Supporting Uniform Sustainability Ranking System

The University of Colorado at Boulder this week joined about two dozen other institutions of higher education in an open letter to publishers of campus sustainability rankings, providing guidelines for consistent, comparable and commensurate metrics to size up ‘green' colleges and universities.

CU and City Participating in Joint Workshop on Organic Turf Management

The City of Boulder Parks and Recreation Department and University of Colorado at Boulder are participating in a workshop on natural turf management this week. The workshop is being taught by Chip Osborne, one of the nation's leading experts on natural turf management. This training is part of an effort by the university and the city to enhance the quality of turf while continuing to use no or very little herbicides for weed control.

Renovations to CU's Andrews Hall Cross Finish Line With LEED Gold Certification

The University of Colorado at Boulder's Andrews Hall, a residential building located in the Kittredge Complex, this month received the gold rating in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, certification issued by the United States Green Building Council.
