Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg keynotes inaugural Colorado Law Bench and Bar Conference

The University of Colorado Law School brought together industry leaders, top practicing lawyers, and members of the judiciary to discuss some of the most important issues facing the legal profession today. The Gathering of the Bench and Bar Conference was held Sept. 19–21.

“I envisioned this conference as a way to not only provide educational opportunities, but also to help students and new graduates expand their professional network,” said Phil Weiser, dean of Colorado Law.

Over the last half-century, Scott Carpenter and the University of Colorado Boulder have been an integral part of the Space Age. We share Boulder's pride that he is one of our own. We take great honor that he is the first of 19 astronauts with CU-Boulder roots. Boulder cancels fireworks show due to high fire risk

Boulder city officials today announced that the annual Ralphie’s Independence Day Blast is canceled due to extremely dry conditions in and around Boulder. The fireworks show had been scheduled for Folsom Field on Wednesday, July 4.

CU to host eclipse-viewing event in Folsom Field

 

On Sunday, May 20, Coloradans will see a “bite” taken out of the sun as the moon moves across the sun causing a partial solar eclipse. The eclipse starts at 6:22 p.m. with maximum eclipse at 7:30 p.m. and the sun will set at 7:50 p.m.

CU undergrads design toys for children who are blind

A small smile appeared on the young girl’s face as she listened to the high-pitched sound coming from the whiffle ball. The sound helped the elementary student locate the ball after her classmate hit it from a specially designed baseball tee.

Both of the students are blind. On a recent afternoon, they were in a classroom at the University of Colorado Boulder’s Integrated Teaching and Learning Program and Laboratory testing toys designed by first-year engineering students. The students are enrolled in CU engineering instructor Seth Murray’s freshman projects class.

Public Viewing of Total Lunar Eclipse Hosted at CU-Boulder Dec. 20

The University of Colorado at Boulder's Fiske Planetarium, in partnership with the Sommers-Bausch Observatory, will host a viewing party of the total lunar eclipse on Monday, Dec. 20, starting at 10 p.m.

For the first time in three years, Colorado business leaders are predicting solid growth in the state economy, according to the most recent quarterly Leeds Business Confidence Index, or LBCI, released today by the University of Colorado at Boulder Leeds School of Business.
