Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop
The Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop—open to students, professional dancers and teachers ages 16 and older—is in residence the last two weeks in July. BJDW was founded by CU dance alums Lara Branen and Michael Geiger in 1978; Lara still serves as Artistic Director. As well as offering classes in jazz, hip hop, modern, ballet barre, Pilates, yoga and musical theatre, workshop students have the opportunity to perform at the end of the 2-week session.

Interweave Dance Theatre is the resident performing company of the workshop. Over the years many advanced workshop students have made the transition into the company. IDT company members attend advanced level BJDW classes and may receive tuition discounts up to 100%. University of Colorado credit is available to qualified BJDW students. Work/study scholarships are available.
