The University of Colorado accredits the dance classes offered at the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts Camp in Steamboat Springs, CO. One of the oldest performing arts summer camps in the nation, Perry-Mansfield is set in the beautiful Rocky Mountains and offers classes in dance, theatre, music and the visual arts. CUCDW is part of a university-sponsored outreach program. Through the program, dance, choral groups, theatre productions and art exhibits are presented throughout the state of Colorado. The company is comprised of dance graduate students who perform a repertory of their own and faculty choreography. The company tours in May and June. The members of CUCDW also offer classes and workshops during their residencies. Classes are offered in the public schools, senior centers, private dance studios and recreation centers. The company has been touring the state in the summers since 1991 under the direction of dance faculty member Nada Diachenko.
