Stephanie has performed professionally with Alaska Dance Theatre, Utah Festival Opera, and Peoria Ballet. She has taught at Alaska Dance Theatre, Interlochen Arts Camp, Nashville Dance Studio, and as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University. Currently, she is teaching at Ballet Nouveau Colorado and Longmont Dance Theatre. Stephanie is a first-year MFA student in Dance from the CU Department of Theatre and Dance.
BALLET FOR BEGINNERS
No previous experience required. Basic barre work and center work will be learned and practiced. Correct activation of the turn-out at the hips, stretched legs and feet, and expressive port de bras will be emphasized. Students will be expected to learn and remember increasingly complex movement patterns. The French ballet vocabulary and basic dance history are introduced as essential components of the classroom experience.
