Tuition: Nondegree Students

Making Your Payment

Payment methods for nondegree students include:

  • the Internet using the Payment Only Option
  • Cash
  • Check (personal, certified, cashier's, traveler's, credit card checks, or money orders)
  • Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards

Payments made via overnight express, standard U.S. Postal Service, electronic bill pay programs, or through 529 Plans should be sent to the following address (do NOT send them to the address on the bill and payment envelope):

Nondegree students interested in paying their tuition using a credit card can call the Continuing Education accounting office at 303-492-2212, fax their credit card information to 303-492-3962, or visit us at 1505 University Avenue.

Personal Check Policy

If you write a bad check to the university (regardless of the amount), it is considered nonpayment, and nonpayment penalties will apply. You are subject to late and service charges and a stop is placed on your account. You also may be dropped from your classes. A $20 returned check charge is assessed, in addition to the amount due to the university. You may also be liable for collection costs and prosecution under the Colorado criminal statutes. Specific inquiries concerning returned checks should be directed to the Student Debt Management department in the Bursar's Office at 303-492-5571 or 800-925-9844.

Note: All checks containing restrictive endorsements are null and void and nonbinding on the university.

Refunds: Getting Your Refund Via Check

A refund check is mailed to your local mailing address. Be sure your address is current to avoid delays in receiving your refund check. These refunds cannot be picked up.

Please note that Direct Deposit of refund checks is not available to nondegree students.

Tuition Assessment

If you are a nondegree student with a prior baccalaureate degree you are assessed tuition at the graduate student rate unless you enroll in undergraduate courses only, in which case you are assessed tuition at the undergraduate rate. Nondegree students without a baccalaureate degree are assessed tuition at the undergraduate rate. Nondegree students are assessed mandatory student fees per the campus fee schedule. Nondegree students may be able to waive all student fees except for the computing fee. Call 303-492-2212 for more information or complete the fee waiver form.
