Students sitting in the grass on the quad at CU Boulder

We're so glad you've decided to take classes this summer! If you're a current CU Boulder student, skip the application process and go directly to the enrollment instructions for summer classes. If you're a nondegree student, guest, or recent graduate, you will need to either activate your account or apply for Summer Session. You can review those steps under the How to Apply section.

If you're unsure whether you fit into the "current student" category, please contact the Summer Session team at 303-492-5148 or summerinfo@colorado.edu.

When you're ready to enroll, you can do so through the CU Boulder Class Search just as you would during the fall or spring semesters. Students register for classes beginning in early March—it is recommended that you enroll early to increase your chances of getting into the classes you want. Use the How to Enroll section to find enrollment dates and other important enrollment information.

Some holds may prevent you from enrolling in Summer Session, while other holds may not. If you have a hold, log in to Buff Portal for more information about your specific situation and contact your advisor if you need additional help. Nondegree students should see a Continuing Education academic advisor.
