Safety Information & Alerts

Whether you’re new to campus or a returning student, it’s important to be prepared to take action in an emergency.

CU Boulder provides three levels of alert notifications:

CU Emergency Alerts: Immediate threat to safety on campus and when the university’s operating status changes due to weather, etc.
CU Safety Alerts: Email notification of a crime committed on or near campus for increased awareness of ongoing or dangerous situations.
CU Advisory: Non-emergency incidents for awareness and potential impacts (power failures, road closures, etc.).

Buff Portal

Buff Portal is where you conduct most of your university business. Within the portal you can manage your:

Profile and privacy settings
Password, display name and email settings
IdentiKey password and email
Address, phone number and other personal information
