Selecting the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan

Are there mandatory requirements to change my insurance?

According to university policy, because the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan is not health insurance, you must have health insurance for services outside of Wardenburg Health Center to select this plan.

How do I change my insurance to the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan if I am a new or current student?

Fall 2008
Note: The plan you select for fall 2008 will automatically extend through spring semester/summer 2009.You are billed per semester. (See Exceptions to Automatic Enrollment)

  • Online: You can sign up online at CUConnect. You need a CU Login Name and an IdentiKey in order to select the insurance online. You will receive them with your registration materials either in the mail or at an on-campus orientation session if you are a new student. Go to the financial tab, look for the "Select or Waive Health Plans" button, and follow the instructions.
  • Paper Selection: If you have not yet received your CU Login, you can also use the selection/waiver form to select the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan. You can obtain the selection/waiver form at the Student Health Plans Office (Wardenburg Health Center, room 336, 303-492-5107) or click here to download.

    If you would like a copy for your records, you must complete a selection/waiver form, keep the attached carbon copy, and return the original to the Student Health Plans Office by the specified deadline dates for fall 2008 and spring semester/summer 2009.

Spring semester/summer 2009
You will have coverage for spring semester and summer 2009. You are billed spring semester. (See Exceptions to Automatic Enrollment)

  • Online: You can sign up online at CUConnect. You need a CU Login Name and an IdentiKey in order to select the insurance online. You will receive them with your registration materials either in the mail or at an on-campus orientation session if you are a new student. Go to the financial tab, look for the "Select or Waive Health Plans" button, and follow the instructions.
  • Paper Selection: If you have not yet received your CU Login Name, you can use the selection/waiver form to select the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan. You can obtain the selection/waiver form at the Student Health Plans Office (Wardenburg Health Center, room 336, 303-492-5107) or click here to download.

Summer only 2009
You are not automatically enrolled, regardless of the number of credits taken. If you want the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan or the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan, you must enroll and pay the insurance premium in the Student Health Plans Office (Wardenburg Health Center, room 336)

Can I change my health plan coverage for spring semester/summer 2009 if I am a new or current student?
If you selected the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan for fall 2008, you may change to the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan for spring/summer 2009 (though you must have health insurance coverage).

If you selected the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan for fall 2008, you may upgrade to the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan for spring/summer 2009. Read the plan information carefully before upgrading.

If you waived the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan in fall 2008 you may enroll for spring 2009 by going to CUConnect and changing your selection by the spring semester deadline.


Waiving the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan or the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan

How do I waive the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan or Wardenburg Campus Care Plan if I am a new or current student?

Fall 2008

  • Online: You can waive coverage online at CUConnect. You need a CU Login Name and an IdentiKey in order to select the insurance online. You will receive them with your registration materials either in the mail or at an on-campus orientation session if you are a new student. What if I waive the insurance for fall semester 2008, but want coverage for spring semester/summer 2009?
You can go to CUConnect and select either the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan or Wardenburg Campus Care Plan. (Read the plan information carefully before selecting the health insurance plan.)
