In what plan am I automatically enrolled for fall 2008?
All students (new and returning) enrolled for one or more credit hours on the CU-Boulder campus are automatically enrolled and billed $860 per semester for the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan, unless they have selected the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan or waived the health insurance. (Access, Continuing Education, Time Out Program, Study Abroad and evening MBA program students, go to Exceptions to Automatic Enrollment)

Select the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan or waive the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan by July 25, 2008 to prevent the $860 insurance premium from appearing on your first tuition bill. The final deadline for selecting or waiving is September 3, 2008.

If you were a student in the fall 2008, and made any changes to your insurance enrollment at that time, those changes will automatically carry over to the spring semester/summer 2009.

The final deadline to select the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan or to waive the health insurance for the spring semester is January 21, 2009.

In what plan am I automatically enrolled for summer only 2009?
If you were a student in spring 2009, the insurance plan you chose for that semester continues into the summer, regardless of whether or not you are taking courses.

If you are a new student in summer 2009, you are not automatically enrolled in any insurance plan. However, you may purchase summer coverage at the Student Health Plans Office (Wardenburg Health Center, room 336, by June 8, 2009).

In what plan am I automatically enrolled if I am a teaching, research, or graduate assistant, or a graduate part-time instructor?
If you are a teaching, research, or graduate assistant, or a graduate part-time instructor, and have enrolled for one or more credit hours as a student on the CU-Boulder campus, you are automatically enrolled and billed $860 / semester for the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan, unless you have selected the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan or waived the health insurance. (See Exceptions to Automatic Enrollment.)

If you hold at least a 20 percent appointment, the university pays a portion of the cost of the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan. For approved doctoral candidates who select health insurance, UCSU student fees are reduced. Contact your department to determine the university contribution toward your insurance premium. See deadlines.
