Selecting the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan
Are there mandatory requirements to change my insurance?
According to university policy, because the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan is not health insurance, you must have health insurance for services outside of Wardenburg Health Center to select this plan.
How do I change my insurance to the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan if I am a new student?
Fall 2006 (New Student, Change Insurance)
Note: The plan you select for fall 2006 will automatically extend through spring semester/summer 2007.You are billed per semester. (See Exceptions to Automatic Enrollment)
- Online: You can sign up online at CUConnect. You need a CU Login Name and an IdentiKey in order to select the insurance online. You will receive them with your registration materials either in the mail or at an on-campus orientation session if you are a new student. Go to the Financial Tab and follow the instructions. If you don't have Student Health Plans on your Financial Tab, follow these instructions to add it.
- Paper Selection: If you have not yet received your PIN, you can also use the selection/waiver form to select the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan. You can obtain the selection/waiver form at the Student Health Plans Office (Wardenburg Health Center, room 251, 303-492-5107) or click here to download.
If you would like a copy for your records, you must complete a selection/waiver form, keep the attached carbon copy, and return the original to the Student Health Plans Office by the specified deadline dates for fall 2006 and spring semester/summer 2007.
Spring semester/summer 2007: (New Student)
You will have coverage for spring semester and summer 2007. You are billed spring semester. (See Exceptions to Automatic Enrollment)
- Online: You can sign up online at CUConnect. You need a CU Login Name and an IdentiKey in order to select the insurance online. You are not automatically enrolled, regardless of the number of credits taken. If you want the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan, you must enroll and pay the insurance premium in the Student Health Plans Office (Wardenburg Health Center, room 251).
How do I change my health plan coverage to the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan if I am a current student?

You are not automatically enrolled, regardless of the number of credits taken unless you selected the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan, spring 2007. If you want health plan coverage, you must enroll and pay the health plan premium in the Student Health Plans Office (Wardenburg Health Center, room 251).
Can I change my health plan coverage for spring semester/summer 2007 if I am a new or current student?
If you selected the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan for fall 2006, you may change to the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan for spring/summer 2007 (though you must have health insurance coverage).
If you selected the Wardenburg Campus Care Plan for fall 2006, you may upgrade to the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan for spring/summer 2007. However, there are pre-existing condition limitations, so read the plan information carefully before upgrading.
