What is the deadline for
fall semester 2006?
Select Wardenburg Campus Care or waive the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan by July 28, 2006 to prevent the $875.00 insurance premium from appearing on your first tuition bill. The final deadline for selecting or waiving is September 6, 2006. A $25.00 processing fee will be imposed for students who do not waive their insurance by the September 6 deadline.
What is the deadline for
spring semester/summer 2007?
The final deadline to select Wardenburg Campus Care or to waive the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan for the spring semester is January 24, 2007. A $25.00 processing fee will be imposed for students who do not waive their insurance by the January 24 deadline.
(Continuing students are automatically enrolled in the plan chosen for the fall semester. If you are a continuing student and
want to change your insurance plan for spring semester/summer 2006,
your deadline is also January 24, 2007. If you waived the Student Gold Health Insurance Plan in fall 2006, it will be waived for spring semester/summer2007.)
What is the deadline for
summer 2007 if I am a new student?
If you are a new student for summer 2007, you are not automatically
enrolled, regardless of the number of credits taken. If you want
health plan coverage, you must enroll and pay the premium
in the Student Health Plans Office (Wardenburg
Health Center, room 251). The deadline to enroll is June 11, 2007.
Can I enroll in a Student Gold Health Insurance Plan after the deadline?
Eligible students will not be allowed to enroll in a plan after the
applicable enrollment/waiver period, with one exception. If you have
been involuntarily terminated by another group insurance plan you
may purchase the student insurance, provided you furnish proof that
you became involuntarily terminated by another insurance company
during the 30 days immediately preceding. In such cases, the cost
will be the same as it would have been at the beginning of the coverage
period, but the effective date will be the date you enroll in the
plan and make the required payment.
If I missed the deadline,
can I petition to waive the insurance coverage?
If you fail to submit a selection/waiver form by September 6, 2006,
for fall semester (January 24, 2007, for spring/summer), call the
Student Health Plans Office at 303-492-5107 for
information regarding the petitioning process.
