High School Players: If you are currently playing rugby in high school, we want you to come to the University of Colorado and play for us! Please contact the coaches and officers at curugbyofficers@lists.colorado.edu for more information and a recruiting packet. Those who have never played: No experience is required to join the team; in fact most of our players had never touched a rugby ball before college. Come to our information meeting in the fall date and time tba in RCCR 3&4. When does CU practice and play? Practice is held every Monday and Wednesday at the Athletic Turf. We have games most Sunday mornings throughout the Spring and Fall semesters. Check out the schedule for times, dates, and locations. If you can't make it to all of the practices and games, that's OK. Please notify the coaches or captains if you will be missing from an event. What do I wear? Wear whatever clothes you would wear to go running or to the gym. Keep in mind that by the time practice ends at 8:30, it can be pretty cold. Bring plenty of warm clothes!! Also, bring soccer/rugby cleats and a mouth guard if you've got them. If not, we can help you get that equipment. For the first couple practices Rebecca will have extra mouth guards (please bring $2). Jerseys are provided for matches. How much does it cost? Dues are $150 per semester. Fall '08 dues need to be paid by the end of practice the weekend after the Jackalope Tournament.. This covers registration to the national and regional rugby organizations, travel costs, and team equipment. The only additional expense you will need to cover is the cost of your own food on road trips. Hotel rooms, van rental, and gas are covered by the team.
