This year the Student Wellness program is offering free one-on-one peer tobacco cessation counseling. CU Students who are interested in quitting can come speak to a former smoker trained in tobacco cessation education. She will help guide you on your way to becoming a non-smoker and give you support during this important lifestyle change. Sessions are scheduled at your convenience and are totally confidential. Some of the topics covered during the sessions include deciding the best time to quit, the different methods of quitting, nicotine withdrawal symptoms and how to deal with them, weight gain, stress management, the stages of change, and any questions you might have.
