Why Bubbles?

Believe it or not, bubbles can have an extremely relaxing effect on your body. Think about it. What do you have to do in order blow bubbles? You guessed it; you have to take deep breaths. Even though it does sound a bit cheesy, taking deep breaths is the easiest, cheapest, and often the most effective method of stress relief. Getting that extra oxygen to your brain really helps you calm down.

One of the reasons cigarettes are known to relax people, aside from the many added chemicals, is actually the act of deep breathing. Also, taking the time to recognize you breathing takes your mind off other, more stressful things.

Of course breathing doesn’t hold all of the answers to stress relief, but it’s probably the best start. Too often we tend to take breathing for granted. So, try as often as possible to recognize your breathing patterns. Strive to keep them deep and consistent. Even deep breathing for a few seconds can alter your mood for long periods of time.
