Hello everyone! My name is Tanya Mohseni and I am currently a sophomore pursuing an Integrative Physiology major. I was born and raised in Colorado but my Persian heritage has allowed me to look at health issues beyond national borders and has therefore motivated me to bring about change. I have spent a few years volunteering in the medical surgical department at Avista Hospital, I participated in Freshmen Council and Diversity Commission for UCSU and am currently part of the Persian Students Organization. After I graduate, I plan on going to an Osteopathic Medical School. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, dancing, hiking, spending time with friends and family, learning new activities and meeting new people! I am looking forward for this upcoming year with SAPP as co-VP of Osteopathic Medicine. If you have any questions please feel free to stop by! |

My name is Brian Juan. I grew up in Vernon, New Jersey and have worked as a professional musician since graduating form the University of Rochester in 1996 with a BA in English. I've dressed as a robot (Sonar, 2000-2003), salsa'ed badly (Chupacabra, 1997-2001), taken requests (The Reef, 2004-2007), and backed up a handful of national acts, most notably Otis Taylor and Liza Oxnard. For a while I was also a booking agent (national agency Watermark Media) - small-time, but full-service.
I'm currently getting to know the physical and biological sciences via the University of Colorado at Boulder, assisting with clinical research in the ER at Denver Health Medical Center, and working with SAPP. I'm also accompanying a vocal performance class and doing occasional dueling piano shows. In 2009 I took the MCAT, processed med school applications with AMCAS and AACOMAS, shadowed an amazing family physician, began performing at Sing Sing in Denver, cried during the finale to "Battlestar Galactica," recorded ten seconds of piano for the original score to a major motion picture, and got my daughter off of training wheels, and got into medical school, all without ever once eating "Rocky Mountain Oysters" or "Balut." My hobbies include web design and upholding the stereotype that Asians are Mathletes.
