Hi, I'm Dave. I am currently pursuing a double major in Integrative Physiology and Evolutionary Biology with a certificate in Neuroscience. I am a Nationally Registered and Colorado state registered EMT-B/IV. I was a medic in the U.S. Army and I am currently teaching medical courses for the Army Reserves. I am also the CPR Education Officer for Student Emergency Medical Services and I volunteer in the OR for Boulder Community Hospital. My plans are to attend Physician Assistant School. My advice to all is to take advantage of everything CU has to offer and don't stress the small stuff. Outside of SEMS, I enjoy snowboarding, rock climbing, and playing the guitar and piano. |

Hello everyone! My name is Paige and I was born and raised in Colorado. I am currently a sophomore studying IPHY. I love Boulder because I can hike, ski, run, do cartwheels, or play tennis on almost any given day. I also love CU because it offers so many wonderful opportunities for academic and extracurricular involvement.
I am pursuing medicine because I value the unique opportunity health care providers have to not only to treat sick patients, but also to educate them about their wellness in a way that empowers them. I have seen this opportunity in a jail clinic, a pediatric clinic, and a teen sexual health clinic (where I currently work) and I believe the opportunity to enrich people’s lives is true of any specialty as long as the priority is the patient. I am very passionate about working with children and adolescents, so next year I will be doing an internship with the Boulder Youth Body Alliance working with their peer-educators in addition to my work at the Teen Clinic.
If you have any questions about volunteering, getting involved in research, clubs, or other activities on campus, let me know!

Greetings, my fellow Pre-Professional enthusiasts! My name is Whitney and I am currently working on a degree in Integrative Physiology and hope to attend Medical School upon completion. Outside of my studies at CU, I am preparing for my journey into medicine by getting involved in research (my last project involved spinal fusion in sheep models at the Veterinary School of Medicine in Ft. Collins. Fascinating stuff!), volunteering, and shadowing physicians (an incredibly exhilarating experience and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who wishes to become a doctor). Besides all that, I like to cook, practice yoga, hike, and spend time with my husband.

My name is Channing. I am from Athens, GA and currently a senior here at University of Colorado. I am focusing my studies in the medical sciences with a double major in Integrative Physiology and Psychology. After I graduate, I plan on attending school to become a Physicians Assistant at an institution on the East Coast, specializing in Dermatology. I am currently an intern at the Chinook Clubhouse working with people with disabilities. I think it is important to experiment in a variety of health fields to see what fits and interests you the most, so over the last two years I have also volunteered in a hospital emergency department and completed a second internship with a local dentist. I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, skiing and playing volleyball (ask about and join our intramural team!) I chose to go to school in Boulder because I love the atmosphere here-- it perfectly fits my laid back personality. Feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions about what SAPP is and what this great club has to offer.
