Getting to Boulder is relatively easy .....

IMPORTANT: Do not take the taxi (cab). It will cost you about $70. Take the bus. In the worst case, if you miss the last bus at 11.20pm, take the door-to-door Super Shuttle, which costs $25 or so.
The Regional Transport District (RTD) has an excellent bus service to get you to Boulder from DIA (bus: skyRide - AB).
Fare
You can buy Boulder ticket at the RTD sales counter on Level 5 or you can pay exact change on the bus (Driver does not carry cash and there is no "conductor").
The fare is $10 one-way.
Schedule
After collecting your bags go one level up i.e. to level 6 and to door 613 on the Eastside to catch the bus.
Keep a copy of the "AB" timetable (available at the airport or in the bus) with you. It is also available under http://www.rtd-denver.com/ - skyRide - AB - westbound. The bus comes to the West Terminal at almost every 20 minutes past an hour, i.e. 6.20 a.m., 7.20 a.m. up to 11.20 p.m.
Boarding the Bus
RTD drivers are very helpful and will help you to load your luggage. Please be sure to tell them the exact stop where you want to get down.
This is important since there is a lot luggage that they will put in the bus according to the stops for their convenience.
The Journey ...
It takes about 75 to 80 minutes to come to Boulder. The important stops in Boulder, as you come from Denver, are Table Mesa Park-n-ride, Table Mesa and Broadway, Broadway and 27th Way [Flatirons (flat - irons) Park-n-Ride (in front of the US Dept. of Commerce)], Baseline, and campus stops - Regent, Euclid, and University, and finally Boulder bus station.
The drivers will call out the name of the stop well before. Due to their busy schedule and fatigue sometimes forget to announce the stop in the bus. When you see the "Table Mesa park-n-ride" stop, know that you are in Boulder.
You can remind the driver here where you want to get down but do not ask him/her after every stop.
Please make sure that you contact someone, who is willing to host you for first few days. Also, please be considerate about their apartment, schedule and privacy.
From Denver Downtown
If you are coming from Denver then you will have to go to the Market Street Station to catch the 'B' route bus to Boulder. The Market Street Station is located at the end of the 16th Street Mall and a block away from Union Station (Amtrak train station).
We hope that this will make your journey to easy and enjoyable.
