Our International Festivals are a long tradition.
In 1993, a small group of international students on campus came up with the idea of bringing all of the international students together to celebrate the diversity that they represented.
There are more than 1000 international students from 90 different countries attending the University of Colorado at Boulder, that contribute to the diversity on campus.
The International Festival provides an opportunity for the community at large to learn more about their cultures and countries.
The first International Festival in 1993 was made possible on a small budget of about $1500, and about 300 to 400 people attended.
Each year thereafter, we experienced an increase in attendance, that has grown to over 1800 people in the last 2 years.
The community has recognized this as a unique event and every year has seen more visitors.
Take a look at our previous festivals of 2006,
2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1997 and 1996.
