At the University of Kansas' Jayhawk Invitational this past weekend, CU Mock Trial placed 4th and 5th at the year's first tournament. Manab Goswami also received an individual witness award.

Following a great weekend in Kansas City, CU Mock Trial ended its 2008-2009 season with team 1337 earning a 4-4 record and team 1338 earning a 2-5-1 record at the Opening Round Championships.

After travelling to the Illini Invitational in Illinois in mid-January, the team hosted the first annual Colorado Classic in Boulder. United States Air Force Academy placed first, Colorado State University placed Second, and Case Western Reserve University placed third. CU had a great time hosting and hopes to see everyone again next year!

At the regional tournament at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, CU Mock Trial continued its tradition of excellence and qualified for the post-season for the fourth consecutive year. For the first time, both of CU's teams qualified for the Opening Round Championship Tournament in Kansas City. Both teams are looking forward to the challenge and competition in March!

After a very well run tournament at the University of Missouri - Kansas City, CU Mock Trial brought home three awards: Kaylah Braun received a witness award for her portrayal of Drew Walton, and Ben Engen and Manab Goswami each recieved attorney awards. Returning from a long break with a few new members, team 1338 finished with a 3-5 record, and team 1337 finished 4-4. After a three day break this week, CUMT returns to the road for the weekend's Illini Invitational in Champaign, Illinois.
