To become a member of ASME go to the national student site, www.asme.org/students and don't forget that membership is FREE to all FRESHMEN!!!
Membership Benefits
- Tours - ASME sponsors several tours throughout
the school year to fun and interesting plants around Colorado.
- Lectures - ASME has many industry connections
and each semester our goal is to bring in several engineers from industry to
discuss what it is like to be a practicing engineer. Keep your eyes open for
speakers that might intrest you...or be a good networking opertunity.
- Intramural Sports Sponsorship - Join one of our
intermural teams or create your own, ASME will pay for fees and maybe even
some sweet uniforms for teams that have several ASME members and have ASME in
the title.
- Student in Industry Day - Experience the real world for a day and see what
it's like to be a practicing engineer.
- Resume - Being part of ASME looks really good to
future employers and especially if you can talk about the leadership roles you
had in helping us plan events.
- Spring BBQ - One of the best things about spring is the ASME Spring BBQ where Mechanical Engineers come to eat, chat, vote on their favorite teachers and dunk professors into ice cold water. They also get to see the Human Powered Vehicle and Formula SAE car just before competition. Check back for details in the Spring!!!
