University of Colorado premed AMSA is CU's chapter of the American Medical Student Association. CU AMSA provides premedical students with opportunities to get involved with the medical community on a local and national level by providing shadowing opportunities and volunteer activities as well as great connections, contacts, and invitations to AMSA conventions (trust us, these are well worth attending.) AMSA also supplies pre-med students with the resources necessary to get into medical school. Above all, CU AMSA believes it takes more than medical school to become a doctor; for this reason, AMSA attempts to care for the community on all levels and fight for the patients.
1) Attend Meetings! AMSA members must attend 70% of meetings. Let us know if you can't make a meeting by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Upcoming meeting details can be found on the Home and Calendar pages. All meetings take place on Monday nights at 6pm in Benson 180 unless otherwise noted.
2) Pay Dues Dues are $20 per semester and $35 per year. Dues will be collected in the first couple weeks of each semester during the general meetings (the deadline for the Fall 2014 semester will be announced soon!). Please make out checks to University of Colorado. Dues help pay for food at meetings and for activities.
