HELP EDUCATION IN AFGHANISTAN - MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY!
The Afghan Student Union is teaming up with the non-profit and non-political Afghans4Tomorrow organization in raising funds to help maintain and operate primary education in Afghanistan for both girls and boys grades 1-7. We are hoping to create awareness of the need and importance of education in Afghanistan and hope to have a substantial amount of money raised by our Afghan Culture Night event on November 12, 2009, of which generous donations will also be accepted. Every $1 that you donate will go towards helping an Afghan child seek an education and help in the rebuilding of Afghanistan. Please donate today (link is below) and make a difference! Below is also more information on this cause:
HOW/WHEN TO DONATE:
We will be tabling in the UMC on the following dates, October 20-22, 26-29, November 2-6 and November 9-12. Online donations can be made any time from the link below. We will also be accepting generous donations at our Afghan Culture Night on November 12th, 2009 in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom, a free event open to all CU students and the community.
WHERE IS YOUR MONEY GOING?:
Your donations will pay for necessary expenses (for example, student supplies, medicines, salaries for our Afghan teachers and support staff) and help offer better futures for those we serve.
Afghans have hope for the future, for their children; help them see progress!
WHAT IS AFGHANS4TOMORROW?:
Afghans4Tomorrow is operating three elementary schools and has 712 boys and girls -1st through 7th grade, 31 teachers and 10 staff.
