The mission of the Afghan Student Union is to promote and celebrate Afghan culture here at the University of Colorado at Boulder and to create awareness of Afghanistan. We are a culture-based student group and not a political one; We do not support any political and/or religious party in Afghanistan. We are open to membership to any Afghan students and non-Afghan students interested in Afghanistan.

ASU was founded in the spring of 2005 by CU Alum, John Ali Sharza.
