The Underrepresented Student Group Council (USGC)

USGC was founded by former UCSU tri-executive and former UCSU Director of Diversity Affairs, University of Colorado, Boulder alum Joseph Neguse (Ride the W.A.V.E. ticket).

USGC's main purpose is to unite the leadership of the student groups and organizations that make up the University community. The group is to serve as a means of unity, networking and collaboration amongst the various ethnic and religious organizations on campus.

This year's USGC is open to the leadership as well as the membership from various organizations; meetings are typically held twice a month and will serve as a vital tool to network marginalized communities and communities of color together.

The Underrepresented Student Group Council is led by the UCSU Director of Diversity Affairs (John Ali Sharza) and the SORCE Inner-Campus Liaison (Karen Shimamoto).
