Hello everyone! My name is Abenaa Adjei and I am a Junior majoring in Advertising. This year I am proud to serve as the President of ASA because our organization has come very far in raising awareness of African culture on the campus of CU Boulder. As a successful and determined Ghanaian woman, I believe my presence adds the needed zest to our already enthusiastic officer team. As I proceed with my term as President, my vision and hope is that members of our community will come to identify ASA as a home away from home.

Hello! My name is Yetunde Akinde. I am currently a junior at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I was born and raised in Nigeria. I am double majoring in psychology and Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. With these majors, I aspire to become a medical student with a specialty in pediatrics. One thing I would love to do is travel as much as possible and get the opportunity to see the world and its true beauty. As the Vice President of ASA, I hope to aid in fostering a comfortable environment where everyone can learn more and become more aware about Africa and its people.

Hi my name is Omotola Idowu, and I am a Junior majoring in Sociology. I was born and raised and in the great country of Nigeria. This year I am going to be serving as the Public Relations officer. I am very proud to serve as an officer of the African Students' Association because, it's my way of lending a helping hand not only to my own country of Nigeria, but also the continent of Africa. I also see ASA as a way of bringing unity amongst the African students on this campus. So as the Public Relations officer I just want to continue to help the name of ASA grow not only on our campus but be able to carry that unity we have formed on our campus onto other schools.

My name is Awet Yohannes; I am a freshman majoring in Integrative physiology. As the director of finance I find it to be important that we spread awareness about Africa and it’s cultural to the campus of CU Boulder. Some of my interests are soccer, aikido, music, etc.

My Name is Negou seid and I was born and raised in a small town in Ethiopia. When I was about seven my brother and I moved to America to live with our father. Coming to America is one of the most exciting experiences in my life, and one of the most life changing experience too. Growing up in America I really didn’t have too many people to interact with but once I arrived on campus I met a lot of different people who shared my experience and made me feel very welcomed. I plan to work next year to support all the students and make sure we put on great events for the whole campus to enjoy.
